Afew years ago we went and spent the money on this really cool battery charger it does everything from slow 2a charges to the jump start 12a charge. Deep cycle and even Gel Deep cycle. i trust its gauge when it tells me that my battery is fine.

this makes me sad, since if its not the battery that is low, which it sounds like it is.. its the starter that is having a rough time of it. this makes me sad because its a pain in the ass to fine the long bolts that are used in the 01 v-star starter mount,.

About 5' long bolts that get bent at a strange angle due to the torque of the starter at an odd angle. oh well I better start looking for them now.

For now a nice slow charge on the battery may be just the thing it needs
